Our History

Founded in 2020, Doverscapes Inc. is the dream of a husband and wife (Darren & Jacky Oostdyk) who met in a landscape design program. Combining their expertise and passion, they created a company that reflects meticulous craftsmanship and innovative design.

As a young, rapidly growing company, we continually expand our services. United by excellence, we strive to create landscapes our clients love. Doverscapes Inc. is a passion-driven, family-owned company that perfects every project.

Darren Oostdyk

Landscape Designer & Owner

Darren is the co-owner of Doverscapes with his wife Jacky. He is also a passionate landscape designer and approaches each project’s challenges with enthusiasm. He gets great satisfaction out of the entire process, from creating unique, custom landscape designs, to seeing the vision come to life.

Darren loves spending time with his family in Port Dover, and enjoys hiking adventures outdoors and exploring new places.

Jacky Oostdyk

Landscape Designer & Owner

Jacky is also a co-owner and landscape designer at Doverscapes. Her main role currently consists of project and office management. Not afraid to get into the dirt, her design specialty is creative and beautiful plantings. She loves seeing the end results of the team’s hard work.

Jacky and Darren met in college in a landscape design program. Fifteen years later, they are married and the proud parents of two beautiful little boys.

Allan Mauthe

General Manager

Allan is a vital part of the success of Doverscapes, ensuring that the work isn’t rushed but done right. His day-to-day role is managing our construction tasks, coordinating time and materials. He also develops our health and safety documents.

Allan spends his time off walking the family dog, playing with the kids, and doing projects at home.

Kyle Motley

Construction Manager

Kyle brings a wealth of industry knowledge to the team. His experience makes him an important member and key to our growth. He manages the construction installation portion of our projects and is also responsible for the maintenance of equipment.

In his spare time Kyle enjoys kayaking, camping and spending time with family and friends.

Luke Stoddart

Pool Construction Manager

Luke is an important piece of Doverscapes growth, his general background in landscape construction is key to the day-to-day operations, but Luke’s biggest asset is his wealth of knowledge in the pool construction industry. Pools go hand in hand with the outdoor living spaces that Doverscapes creates and we are thrilled to have someone like Luke to help us provide and service this important piece of our business!

Luke enjoys his free time with his wife and two young children, during the warmer months you can guarantee Luke and his family are enjoying the pool Luke built for themselves at their own home here in Port Dover.
